The commissioning and customer acceptance of the Kork experimental co-rotating twin-screw extruder have been successfully completed

This equipment is specifically designed for polymer modification, formulation development, and small-batch pilot production, providing customers with efficient and stable material processing solutions.
The experimental twin-screw extruder delivered in this shipment features a modular design that integrates a feeding system, twin-screw barrel, cooling water tank, and pelletizing unit, enabling precise material feeding, melting, mixing, and molding. The equipment supports multi-dimensional adjustment of process parameters such as temperature, speed, and feed rate, making it suitable for formulation testing of various materials including engineering plastics, biodegradable materials, and color masterbatches. This helps customers quickly validate process solutions and reduce trial-and-error costs during mass production. During commissioning, the technical team collaborated with the client to complete equipment performance testing, process parameter optimization, and operator training, ensuring the equipment can be put into service immediately upon delivery.
As a professional manufacturer of extrusion equipment, Kork has always adhered to the core philosophy of “quality first.” Leveraging mature technological expertise and a comprehensive service system, the company provides customers with end-to-end services ranging from equipment customization and process support to after-sales maintenance. Moving forward, the company will continue to deepen its expertise in twin-screw extrusion equipment, empowering industrial upgrades through innovative technology, and providing the polymer materials industry with more efficient and reliable extrusion solutions.

The new generation of Model 75 co-rotating twin-screw pelletizers is highly efficient and stable, and the trial run was a complete success

This model features a high-torque drive system (132 kW main motor with high-torque output from the gearbox), a screw length-to-diameter ratio of 44:1, and a specific torque of 13.5 Nm/cm³, making it suitable for highly filled and high-glass-fiber formulations. The barrel employs a segmented modular design with precise temperature control, paired with a vacuum degassing system to effectively remove moisture and volatiles, ensuring uniform and stable pellet quality.
The equipment comes standard with a fully automatic big-bag feeding system and an underwater strand cutting system, enabling 24-hour continuous and stable production with a capacity of 600–800 kg/h. It is widely used in engineering plastics, modified plastics, and recycled plastics, and has been validated by numerous customers in field applications.
Kork has specialized in the R&D and manufacturing of twin-screw extrusion equipment for over a decade, focusing on applications such as plastic modification, glass fiber reinforcement, masterbatch production, and recycling pelletization. With advantages in high torque, high output, and low energy consumption, we help customers improve production efficiency. We provide customized turnkey solutions and full-cycle services.

KTE-50A Twin-Screw Extrusion Pelletizer: A Comprehensive Solution for High-Efficiency Modified Pelletizing

    I. Core Configuration: Setting the Industry Standard for Performance
The KTE-50A extruder features a proven design, with key components sourced from leading industry brands to meet diverse production needs.
The main unit is designed with a 40:1 length-to-diameter ratio, paired with a 45kW Wannan main motor and Delta variable-frequency drive. This configuration delivers stable, high torque output, enabling the machine to easily handle complex applications such as high-filler and glass-fiber-reinforced materials. The barrel and screw are constructed from wear- and corrosion-resistant alloy materials, significantly extending equipment lifespan and reducing maintenance costs. The temperature control system, equipped with Omron temperature controllers and VMI pressure gauges, enables precise multi-zone temperature regulation to ensure uniform material plasticization. The hydraulic plate-type screen changer supports rapid screen changes to minimize downtime, efficiently filters impurities from the melt, and guarantees the purity of the finished product.

II. Comprehensive System Integration: Building a Fully Automated Pelletizing Production Line
The equipment is equipped with a complete auxiliary system, enabling fully automated production from raw material feeding to finished pellets:
Precise Feeding System: Equipped with loss-in-weight batching and side-feed devices, it supports simultaneous metering of multi-component materials, offers high feeding accuracy, and accommodates complex formulation production.
Cooling and Drying Unit: A stainless steel cooling water tank paired with a blow dryer enables rapid cooling and shaping of the extruded strands, followed by vibrating screen classification to ensure pellet uniformity.
Pelletizing and Conveying System: A variable-frequency-controlled gantry pelletizer paired with a screw feeder enables automated integration, reduces manual intervention, and enhances production efficiency.

III. Wide Range of Applications, Suitable for Material Processing Across Multiple FieldsWith excellent mixing performance and flexible process configurations, the equipment meets production needs across various scenarios:
Plastic Modification: Granulation of glass-fiber-reinforced, mineral-filled, and flame-retardant modified plastics
Functional Masterbatches: Efficient compounding and granulation of color masterbatches, functional masterbatches, and filler masterbatches
Polymer Materials: Granulation of plastic alloys, biodegradable materials, and modified recycled plastics
Specialty Materials: Stable processing of high-viscosity and highly filled materials
